Central District police attended a fatal crash on State Highway 4, just south of Raetihi, this morning.
The vehicle¡¯s driver, Ayesha Bartle, died at the scene. She was 30, from Stratford.
Her two children aged 8 and 2 were in the back of the car. They appeared unharmed but were taken to Whanganui Hospital for observation.
All three were wearing appropriate restraints.
Police¡¯s Serious Crash Unit attended and are investigating the cause of the crash.
